Garry is a former chair of Durham University Jewish Society and has worked with King David School, Bnei Akiva in Manchester and for the United Synagogue. He has a first class honours BSc degree in Maths from Manchester University and has studied at yeshivot in the USA and Israel. Suzanne, who attended Jewish schools in London, has a first class honours degree in politics from Queen Mary University. She has carried out community work in London, the USA and Israel.

Garry and Suzanne have two young children and for the past year have worked closely with Jewish students across Scotland and North East England. 

Due to the huge distances and growing numbers across these regions, a decision was taken to split the two regions and a new Chaplain has been appointed to serve the North East Region. 

Based in Glasgow Garry and Suzanne will now be able to reach all parts of Scotland and serve the ever increasing number of Jewish students who are studying across the border.
