Rabbi Russ hails originally from Florida. He graduated from Yeshiva University in New York with a BA in Philosophy and has since received MAs in Western Religions and Talmud. He enjoys playing guitar and drums and routing wood. He is also studying to be a scribe. Esther received a BA in Biblical Studies, a Masters in Jewish Philosophy and since graduating has held a number of teaching positions.

They have two small children.

For the past year, the Shulkes family were based in Brighton serving as the first Chaplains for the South Coast.  In the year that they were there numbers across the region more than doubled and they will miss working there. 

They are very excited to take on this new challenge and welcoming all Jewish students studying in the Yorkshire Region.
